In the words Riddick himself “You keep what you kill”, and later this year fans of Starbreeze’s original Riddick first-person shooter will need to start thinking about where they are going to put all of those next gen dead bodies.
Sierra Entertainment, publishers of F.E.A.R, Scarface, and The Incredible Hulk, officially announced “The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena” for the PS3 and XBOX 360.
The game is being deemed a “reinvention” of the Escape from Butchers Bay title. In addition to the high definition graphics capabilities of the next gen consoles, Assault on Dark Athena delivers all the award winning gaming of 2004’s Riddick game with the addition of pulse pounding enhancements, an immersive new storyline, and new game play features that will definitely keep gamers moving.
“Players will not only be challenged to survive Butcher Bay, but will also engage in a new single-player experience and, for the first time in the Riddick universe, take action in intense multiplayer combat” explains Sierra.
“The game introduces the ominous Merc-ship Dark Athena, which sits silent like a marauding spider, awaiting helpless prey in the dark reaches of the galaxy. Players must face a large, bloodthirsty operation led by the dreaded Captain Revas and her slaves-turned-controllable combat drones, storm though death-defying events and fight fierce enemies in a battle of malice and gore.”
Get your “teacups” ready gamers …later this year it’s definitely going to be an animal thing.
