Video Game Exclusivity – Giveth Today, Taketh Tomorrow…

So maybe Sony WILL end up losing the exclusive rights to Metal Gear 4 to Microsoft and the Xbox 360, but that may pale in comparison to what some Japanese outlets are reporting will be the fate of Konami’s Silent Hill 5 and even more surprisingly, Capcom’s Resident Evil 5.

Rumor has it that both titles could be dropped for the Xbox 360 all together! Once again, nothing has been confirmed at this time, and this may end up being nothing more than a vicious rumor surfacing in response to the MGS4 rumor already floating around.

If this holds to be true, the addition of the afore mentioned titles as PS3 exclusives could give Sony the time it desperately needs to play next gen catch up with Microsoft and Nintendo.

In closing, we aren’t sold on this rumor as of yet, in large part due to Sony’s staggering sales figures. We will however keep you all updated as more information becomes available.
