The Xbox 360 is BY FAR the BEST next-generation gaming system!
Xbox 360 absolutely DOMINATES the genres of:
* First-Person Shooter (Halo 3, Call of Duty 2, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 1 & 2, Quake 4, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Bioshock, The best version of Rainbow Six: Vegas and Call of Duty 3, Prey, Perfect Dark: Zero, Splinter Cell games, Unreal Tournament 3, and WAYYYY too many others to mention!)
* Third-Person Shooter (Gears of War, Crackdown, Lost Planet, Dead Rising, Saints Row, Tomb Raider, Devil May Cry 4, Grand Theft Auto 4 with Extra Episodes, and many others!)
* Sports (Xbox 360 versions of ALL Sports games are always better. Playstation 3 doesn’t even have a Soccer or Wrestling game right now! The gap in performance is getting even bigger, in favor of the Xbox 360. This years three football games–Madden 08, NCAA College Football 08, and All-Pro 2K8–run at 60 frames per second on the Xbox 360 at upconverted 1080p resolution. The Playstation 3 versions only run at 30 frames per second. This shows the Xbox 360 displays 500,000,000 polygons per second compared to only 275,000,000 polygons per second on the PS3. TWICE as many polygons are being displayed each second in the Xbox 360 versions of those football games!)
* Real-Time Strategy (Command & Conquer 3, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Mid-Earth 2, Halo Wars, World in Conflict, Universe at War: Earth Assault). None of those 5 games are scheduled for PS3.
* Action/Adventure (Mass Effect, Shadowrun, Overlord, Marvel Ultimate Alliance with 8 extra characters not in the other versions, Ace Combat 6, Assassins Creed, and so many others on both Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Arcade.)
* Platform - Kameo: Elements of Power, Sonic the Hedgehog, Katamuri, Alien Homined, Eragon, Assault Heroes, Contra, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Banjo Kazooie, Double Dragon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and many others on both Xbox 360 and Xbox Live).
* Puzzle/Party - (Tetris Evolution, Viva Piniata, Lumines, Uno & other card games on Xbox Live Arcade, Fusion Frenzy 2, Pac-Man, Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero 2, and many others on both Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Arcade).
* Racing games (Forza Motorsport 2, Colin Macrae Dirt, Project Gotham Racing 3 & 4, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Need for Speed: Carbon, Test Drive Unlimited, Sega Rally Championship, Ridge Racer, Moto GP, Nascar 08, and many others!)
* Fighting (Dead or Alive 4 is awesome. Dead or Alive 5 is on the way. Soul Caliber 4 is on the way. Xbox Live Arcade has Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. But the biggest advantage for the Xbox 360 is the way the Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5 has the best graphics, the best artificial intelligence, and the largest number of special features such as a controller that rumbles and ONLINE PLAY!).
* RPG - (Blue Dragon, Two Worlds, Overlord, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, Phantasy Star: Online, Final Fantasy 11, Enchanted Arms, Lost Odyssey, Dungeon Hero, Eternal Sonata, Fable 2, Infinite Undiscovery, and the game that won the “Best RPG Award” at the 2006 E3, Mass Effect).
Xbox 360 is the number one system in EVERY category genre this generation of videogames!

i have four of games you mention up above and they all have that ring a around the rose damage mark on them. Gears of War, Prey, Bio shock and Madden. i can not play either of them because my 360 eatts Game cds… i will not buy another 360 games. i am waiting and putting all my money into PS3. all my game for the ps3 do not have scratches on them that keeps me from playing… i know that i am not the only one talking about this… You can waste your money and brag about how good the 360 is. i know its junk and it will always be junk in this era of next generation of gaming… i will let time and the 360 eat your game out of your play list… them
