EA Names Giacchiono As Lead Composer For Latest Medal Of Honor Soundtrack

mg_headshot.jpgThe uber popular musical composer Michael Giacchino, known best for his work on TV shows such as “Lost” and “Alias” as well as his musical score for the movie “The Incredibles” has been brought on to develop the music for the latest Medal of Honor game from EA.

As the creator of the games memorable theme, Giacchino is by no means new to the franchise. He has also lent his talents in other ways to past iterations of the game. When asked about the opportunity to work on the upcoming title on a larger scale Giacchion said…

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to work on a game that tells such an epic, honest story. The Medal of Honor Airborne team is a very talented group of people and working with them on creating music to fit their innovative game was a true highlight for me,” said Giacchino. “Video games are another vehicle to tell a story, and music plays a vital role in that.”

EA Games is hoping that Medal of Honor Airborne will redefine the series and change the way first person shooters are played. They tell us that for the first time in a FPS, gamers will be able to airdrop into live combat and land anywhere in the open field of battle they choose to. Ground combat will be more open as well giving players unprecedented tactical choices and more attack routes and flanking opportunities.
