
Activision First Quarter Numbers In - Publisher Ready To Defend #1 Ranking

Publisher Activision Inc. strummed in their 1st quarter earnings on Thursday to the tune of $27.8 million. That kind of green can buy enough web fluid for at least a few more Spider-Man videogame sequels.
“We are very excited about our business and for our prospects for the year,” said Activision Chief Executive Robert Kotick in an interview.
Guitar Hero II and Spider-Man 3 helped to get Activision there, but with EA’s annual Madden release, they are going to need a strong second quarter to stay there. Duty calls, and Activision believes they are well equipped to answer.
