“It’s Not A Rumah” — Schwarzenegger Will Appeal California Videogame Ruling
by Chad Lakkis on August 6, 2007 at 10:24 pm

Contrary to his line in The Simpsons Movie, now in theaters, apparently Mr. Schwarzenegger believes it is his job to lead as well as read.
Gamers and industry reps alike hugged it out in celebration of the news that U.S. District Court Judge Ronald Whyte shot down California’s 2005 video game law due to his belief that it violates the First Amendment’s guarantee of freedom of expression.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is looking to appeal the ruling. In a signed press release California’s governator stated…
I signed this important measure to ensure that parents are involved in determining which video games are appropriate for their children. The bill I signed would require that violent video games be clearly labeled and not be sold to children under 18 years old. Many of these games are made for adults and choosing games that are appropriate for kids should be a decision made by their parents.
I will vigorously defend this law and appeal it to the next level.
I find this quite ironic coming from a man who gained his fame in large part due to his role playing a robot that hunted down innocent people. In addition to that, some of his “kid friendly” films were so bad I wouldnt subject my dog to them let alone my children.
