Midnight Release? Call In Sick? What’s Your Annual Madden Release Ritual?

The Madden 08 countdown is coming to a close, and whether you are a fan of the game or not, you can not deny that the annual release of Madden has become a holiday of sorts.
Football has tailgating and Madden has it’s share of midnight releases across the country. We here at ripten.com want to hear what you and your buddies have planned for this years release.

Madden looks pimp in that hoodie man. I usually pick the game up at midnight, play it for a few hours and call in sick the next day.
This will be the 4th year though. They may be on to me.

JimJoneZ, that sounds like a great idea but me and my friend Paul have been hitting the midnight release at our local Gamestop for the past 3 years now. After that we head back and crack open a few beers.
Past 2 years have been painful but this year will hopefully be different.

My annual ritual is to do nothing since Madden sucks and I haven’t bought one since 2001.

I would get it at midnight. Go home and masturbate with it. After that I will be knock out and sleeping good.
