New Xbox 360 Bundle — Microsoft Confirms Holiday Release

Microsoft has put the rumors to bed, and as long as you remember to leave out milk and cookies, there may just be a new Xbox 360 waiting for you under the tree when you wake in the morning — at least that is what Microsoft surely hopes.
The rumors reported as far back as August regarding a new Microsoft 360 bundle have finally been confirmed officially by the industry giant. The deal? Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance bundled up with both the Premium ($350) and Elite ($450) versions of the next gen console at no additional cost.
The bundle is scheduled to hit shelves by the end of October allowing plenty of time for holiday shoppers to mull over which system to buy.
There are other Microsoft console rumors that have yet to be confirmed, mainly the release of a “Xbox 360 Arcade” console. No word has been issued on that front just yet. Stay tuned.

i’m guessing these systems comes with the 65nanometer and not the 90nanometer?

I think there is still a mix of 65nm and 90nm chips available, I understand microsoft hasn’t made it easy to find consoles with 65nm chips after all they still need to sell the bum chips.
I also wonder if the 65nm cpu chip was actually responsible for the swelling and popping of the balled contacts on the gpu… Certainly any decrease in thermal output will suit the overall health of the system.
The re-release core and premium console with hdmi seem to carry both chips and microsoft is mum about letting the consumer find and choose the newer product.
I don’t think microsoft will say oh yeah all 360 now have 65nm chips until they have literally sold every last 90nm chip and maybe not even then since its likely they will be introducing newer hardware revisions.
This is just a pack in to sweeten the deal for the holiday shopper.
I’m still waiting for the gpu to get 65nm chip and hopefully a redesign of the console with the power supply in case and properly cooled.
I think the current design of the 360 is dangerously ridiculous.
If your looking for the 65nm chip use the internet to find as much info as you can and go armed with loads of luck… Good Luck.
