EA’s Pogo.com Launches “Take 5 To Play” — Games A Necessity?

An interesting approach to gaming, as recognized stress expert Dr. Kathleen Hall launches “Take 5 To Play” in association with EA’s Pogo.com, claiming that games are a vital way for individuals to take a break from their hectic lives and let the stress of the day melt away. In short, she believes that playing games is not a luxury — it is a necessity.
With the launch of “Take 5 To Play” gamers seeking stress relief of just something to do between meetings can now access “Poppit”, a new game focused on busting stress, as well as Dr. Halls words of wisdom on regular basis each month at Pogo.com.
We tried our hand at Poppit while writing this piece and must say, the balloon popping is fairly addictive and surprisingly fun.
“Many of our players spend time on Pogo as a way to take a break and get in some ‘me time’, said Beatrice Spaine, Vice President of marketing for Pogo. “We wanted to give players additional tools to help relieve stress and lead healthier and more balanced lives. We are so happy to launch ‘Take 5 to Play’ with Dr. Hall. Her expertise and advice will be valuable to the Pogo community,” added Spaine.
