g4tvs-attack-of-the-show-creates-worlds-biggest-arcade-machine

worlds_largest_arcade_machine.jpg

If you’re like me, you miss the old arcade days, back before consoles became the powerful monsters they are today. Hanging out with friends at the local arcade consisted of playing Street Fighter, NBA Jam, and Mortal Kombat. Wasting time after school at the local pizza joint meant playing Pac-Man and racking up points in pinball. It’s hard to imagine what our youth would have been like without such classic arcade games.

G4 TV’s “Attack of the Show” recently unveiled what they dubbed the worlds largest video game machine ever, and it was later confirmed as such by a member of the Guinness Book of World Records (who just so happened to be on hand for the event). Now lets see a console top this! Check out the video over at G4TV.com.

Chad, I know you posted this 2 years ago, but I'm with you 100%.

Hi-speed Internet, cable, cell phones, and consoles (as well as adult life) have taken away from hours spent at the local bowling alley or pizza joint with friends.

Those 3 games, Street Fighter, NBA Jam, and Mortal Kombat defined the 90s arcade era more than any others (along with the token pinball machine, of course).

A hand-written "out of order" post-it on the quarter machine was enough to ruin an entire weekend.
