This year christmas will have lot’s of cool games available.. Crysis, God of War and… Universe at War!
In my opinion Universe at War is this year’s best release! Have you seen the trailer?

nice soviet, the 8800gt’s are in short supply the, ad is good till Wednesday for the oc bfg 8800gt and bestbuy still shows them available on there website anyone looking for a deal should grab one.

with a little technical know how your right, a pc can be put together for decent value but like you say its not easy for those who don’t know and that probably won’t change anytime soon because most people don’t really care.

You can basically put together a pc that can run Crysis at Medium-High settings for around $600.00

This last round of video cards and value CPUs finally closed the window for consoles being better values. That didn’t last long did it.

Consoles dominate because they are easy. Same reason automatic transmissions dominate.

BTW I think I bought the last 8800gt on Best Buy because it just changed to sold out.

The game was meant to scale with new hardware, depending on your specs you can run this reasonably well with a dual core, 2 gigs of ram, if you got those, you can get an 8800gt or a 3800 card for around $300 in fact bestbuy has an over clocked bfg 8800gt for $249, 4 gigs of DDR2800 cane had for $150 at new egg or anywhere really and qaudcore are sub $300 now.

I would just not expect to play maxed out at the highest resolutions and I wouldn’t spend a ton of money now just to try too, Watch the deals, upgrade when its reasonable and enjoy the game that looks pretty good even on medium settings.

I want to get this game, and I have a good PC, however, if it brings a quad-core 3gig PC to it's knees, I'm not going to but it.

I really want to, but I am not going to pay close to $600 to upgrade my PC for this.

I will stick with COD4, and go form there.

Eventually, my PC will catch up and I will buy it for half the price it is now.

This is why consoles still dominate, yeah, they can cost $400 to $600, but that is not even close to the $2000 you have to spend to get this run anywhere near smooth.

the greatest fps ever made wha wha really? some of farcrys low points carry over and the review covers those hang ups nicely. the game is still good, the map maker is excellent, so just enjoy the effing game and stop worrying about the number attached to the review.

a 10 doesn’t make a game anymore enjoyable.

Are you being paid by the console manufactures to rate down this landmark? I enjoyed Crysis at medium settings, and based on gameplay alone, it is the best FPS ever made. Period.
