Unreal Tournament 3 may be making its way to shelves sometime in December, despite reports that Midway would be delaying the title until 2008.

“The PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 has gone gold! We got news last night that Unreal Tournament 3 has been approved by SCEA and has been released to North American manufacturing,” said Epic’s Mark Rein.

Rein is apparently working with retailers to iron out a firm release date, and speculates that UT3 may be in stores as early as the 2nd week of December.
