SimExchange Predicts 360 Will Outsell PS3 2-to-1 in the US This Holiday Season
by Chad Lakkis on November 24, 2007 at 12:15 pm

The simExchange, a site which attempts to predict trends in the video game industry by giving its users (gamers, developers, and industry onlookers) virtual money to buy and sell video game related stocks and properties, believes that the Microsoft Xbox 360 will outsell Sony’s Playstation 3 console 2-to-1 in the US this holiday season. Charts and actual numbers after the jump.
The SimExchange has the 360 selling approximately two million units, and the PS3 around 1 million. Despite all this though, the site predicts that the Nintendo Wii and DS will blow both away with sales of 3.28 million and 2.86 million sold respectively.

This is a downright stupid way of calculating sales.I don’t know which dumbass actually thought this would reveal actual details.

I think this is an accurate prediction. The PS3 is far behind the 360 in terms of sales. PS3 games are ‘good’ at best and the price drop makes them attractive to the hightech users, however, the 360 (which does gaming and online support better) is at a lower price with games *and rumble* included.
And what parent of a Proud Wiitard will pass up a $270 360 with Halo3 for free?
