Years ago, my friend’s older sister had StarTropics, but since I was a poor 4-year old who couldn’t possibly afford a NES, I had to just watch her play it. Recently, I’ve wanted to play it again but I couldn’t remember what it was called. Thank you so much for giving this to me.

Punch Out is one they forgot about. They had it on the NES and a Super version on the SNES and nothing after that. It’s the perfect game for the Wii. I hope they remember about that one and make a game.

Super Mario RPG has a half dozen sequels, just cause they are a different developer doesn’t prevent them from being part of the same series (look at star fox, f-zero, metroid, etc.)

I almost think Mother/EarthBound belongs on this list, simply because Nintendo of America stubbornly continues to pretend it doesn’t exist (despite characters in Smash Brothers).

I can’t believe nobody brings up the Golgo 13 games in these lists. Those were two of my favorite NES games ever, and Golgo 13 is still a popular character in Japanese Manga. Will we ever see another Golgo 13 game?

hmmm.. Not really sure what to say about this. What exactly is wrong with the franchises they are using today? The ones that arent Zelda,Mario, DK? Nothing IMO. But I do want to let you know that its already known at least 1 classic Nintendo franchise is OTW to the Wii. We just dont know what that games are yet but its probably one of the ones you listed. Also I think the Square Mario RPG is already in the works.

Don’t play it again, though, you will shatter your fond memories.

Nintendo World Cup! As far as I know there was only a Nintendo World Cup on the NES, but its the only football/soccer game I liked, ever. Even if they never make a sequel, I still hope they release it on the Wii’s Virtual Console. For those who are wondering if Nintendo made this game, yes they did.

Battle of Olympus is fantastic, but I don’t think it was actually produced by any past or present teams within Nintendo itself. There are plenty of other franchises that could be brought back besides those I listed, but I was trying to restrict it based on that criteria.
