Red Mile, the publisher behind the forthcoming Sin City game has today announced that it has chosen the Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 to power the game. Although Red Mile have owned the rights to use the engine since May they have not official announced they will be using it in the Sin City game until now. President of Red Mile, Glenn Wong said:

“The Unreal Engine is one of the most technically advanced engines on the market and is a perfect fit for our Sin City video games. The engine has powered several of the best-selling games of all time and I am very glad we have the opportunity to arm our developers with such a world-class product.”

Flint Dille, the man overseeing the design, scriptwriting and story generation of the Sin City game has said that he and Frank Miller (the author of the original graphic novel and producer and director of the film) “have been having a party coming up with nasty stuff for the game”. This makes me very happy, not just at the fact that Miller is involved, but also at the thought of all the nasty stuff.

With an engine renowned for creating breathtaking visuals in games such as BioShock and Gear of War, combined with the striking style used by Miller in his work, this game is looking to be a true visual treat.
