i think those hdds you found were actually from ms. being the cheapskates they are they have to sell you everything. Also i do like the ps3s method better since you can go nuts with it(im talking 1TB lol). i dont consider this a fanboyist statement…microsoft just really sucks in the modding/3rd party (peripheral) support/user generated content areas right now

You seem to have assumed that what Rubenstein said is a dig at Microsoft’s Xbox, where in fact no evidence exists to support that theory. The Xbox is never mentioned in his blog post, and despite your claim, what he says IS in fact entirely accurate: “the PS3 doesn’t require some hard-to-find proprietary HDD”

the thing is, microsoft is kicking people off of xbox live for upgrading their fans, and not buying the crappy ones. so if anyone can think of a way that ISN’T a market sceme, let me know.

Considering the PS3 was designed to have it’s HDD swapped with most retail HDDs comparing it to micorosft banning consoles for modded fans is unfair.

To mod the fans you have to open the xbox 360, which voids the warranty. Anyone who opens up their xbox 360 and fiddles with the innards and expects microsoft to still support it is an idiot.
