Well this is old... but, the really only reason to shop at toys r us is for clearance games and when your number 1, 2 and 3 gamer retailer is out of stuff you want.

Plus it may be for kids, but toys r us sucks even for kids anymore, of course kids now days don't know that they used to make awesome toys. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

My local toys r us's have all combined with babies r us, they can't even fill the old stores with toys like they used to anymore. I won't be surprised when they finally go out of business.

I think your missing the point. The games that are in it are for kids, not adults, so yes they would be crappy if you were shopping for good games. Why are you at Toys 'R Us looking for non-kid-games. I dont see how people are going to Toys 'R Us, finding kid stuff there, then whining about how they are selling kid games and that they are crappy. Im sure if you went to the next aisle at Toys 'R Us, you would find crappy toys there too, right?

Hmm I don't like the pack in's either but the Assume the Position Bundle seems a lot better than the other bundle. In fact I think it has a least one good game in it. Zack & Wiki although not very popular due to lack of advertising makes very good use of the Wiimote. The Bee game & Transformers are just the movie pack in's every bundle has and I am sure there are worse games then those two. In general though, Bundles suck and are a bad idea. I'm just greatful to have gotten mine in the first couple of months when it had come out and all I had to do was wait 4 hours before the store opened so I don't have to deal with all these bundle deals.

I don't think retailers should be allowed to sell systems in bundles like this unless it's a sku from the manufacturer or whatever themselves. I may be misunderstanding something, but if you want a Wii from Toys R Us you have to get them in the bundle, correct? I know a lot of retailers did that with the 360 when they were hard to find. Either way, bundles are a scam unless they let you pick your games or it's some sort of special edition thing from the console manufactures, which isn't really a bundle, but more like a pack in... which is different... and stuff. Bundles are just a way for retailers to get rid of games people won't buy otherwise and unless you're really desperate (who would be desperate for a Wii?) generally aren't worth it. Even if you save a couple bucks buying the stuff individually, it's like saving a dollar on a five dollar dog turd. Sure, you saved money, but you didn't want the thing in the first place.

Good ol' Toys r us. Trying to use the popularity of the Wii to push crappy games out the door! And at retail prices, no less! Thanks for the warning, Dan. I won't be buying a Wii from them after they just tried to scam everybody!

These people fail to understand something.

1) If you were to buy each item here individually in the US, at amazon.com for example, it costs 470 USD. At Toys R Us as a bundle, it costs 500 USD. 470 costs less than 500. You guys have to realize that.

2) You should not be forced to buy a bunch of games when they can be bought individually, let alone when it's cheaper bought individually.

3) You should not be forced to buy a bunch of garbage games.

4) People in England pay a premium of 250 GBP for a Wii for whatever reason to begin with. Along with the games and what not, both 470 at amazon.com and 500 USD at TRU will seem like good deals to people in England, IF they can import them. A Wii costs 250 USD here in the US.

The issues we're discussing are 1-3. Not item 4. The Wii can cost 1,000,000 USD somewhere at the edge of the world. It does not change the fact that Toys R Us is selling a bundle for 500 when they can be bought elsewhere and individually for 470.

Right, that's what I'm saying. Because of the conversion, shouldn't a Wii cost, like, 125 GBP? You guys get screwed on the conversion and pay significantly more than you should. That's why I said it should cost less actual GBP, but it would still get you because of the conversion rate.

2 dollars to the pound Dan.

$500 equals £250.

Wii costs £250 over here with only Wii sports.

Shouldn't things cost fewer GBP and just get you because of the conversion rate? I don't understand why dollar-to-pound some things cost so much more over there. Then again, I'm not too bright with the maths, ter-her.
