LittleBigPlanet to Arrive in September
by John Kershaw on January 7, 2008 at 5:03 pm
It’s been almost a year since LittleBigPlanet was announced by Phil Harrison at the 2007 San Francisco GDC and fresh reports indicate that the game will be released this September.
A release date for this PS3 exclusive has been hinted at before, with EGM reporting a release of Fall 2008, however, no official announcement has been made.
The game’s co-operative, user generated, physics based gameplay has been building hype over the past year and has been hailed as possibly one of the “Killer Apps” for the PS3.
With it’s unique style and fun game mechanics of making, playing and sharing levels, the game gained a lot of positive recognition when it was demonstrated at last years E3, winning IGN’s Best of E3 award and the Gamespot Editors’ Choice award .
A demo for the game was due to come out late last year, but was delayed. Fingers crossed we won’t have to wait too much longer and that this “must have app” for the PS3 is all it’s cracked up to be.
