Sony PSP To Use Skype

Slim PSP owners with a wireless internet connection will soon be able to use Skype, the popular voice communication software.
Skyple enables people to communicate over the internet free of charge, regardless of location. Beginning in late January, gamers will be able to use the software to make and receive phone calls on their Playstation Portables. However, they’ll need to have a memory stick duo, a Skype-compatible audio input device, and an aforementioned wireless internet connection to use the software.
A spokesperson for Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. has stated that they will “deploy various measures to meet users’ demand and vigorously promote the expansion of the PSP platform as a handheld entertainment system to enjoy a variety of interactive digital entertainment.”
Of course, we had an idea that the Skype announcement was coming last week, when Sony leaked it themselves on their CES website.
