PSP Games Coming To PlayStation Store

In an interview from CES, Sony’s senior product manager for PSP, John Koller, said he plans to boost sales of the handheld’s games by re-releasing them over PSN.
This won’t apply to all titles, just the older ones that are still popular with gamers but are a right git to find at retail. He cites WipeOut and Twisted Metal as examples of such titles, but we’re holding out for Loco Roco.
At the same time, he also confirmed his plans to expand the service following the successful PC store launch:
“We have an opportunity to bring bite-size experiences to the system, ten minute, pick up and play content that can be downloaded from the store.”
Apparently this is a part of a drive to expand who the PSP appeals to. He might as well have said ‘WiiWare seems like a good idea, so we’re going to launch our own take on it.’ It’s pretty promising stuff nonetheless.
