Lair Developer Takes To Wii – Be Excited

Factor 5 president Julian Eggebrecht has revealed that his studio is developing a new title for the Nintendo Wii, and it’s not going to be a virtual console game.
Even after Factor 5 disappointed with Lair, I’m rather excited about this. When motion control for that bloody dragon was announced, “Why not Wii?” was the question that sprang to mind.
In Lair they clearly have the ideas (and after its poor reception on PS3, the balls) to do something with the Wii’s motion sensing prowess. Their best games were the dogfight-heavy Star Wars: Rogue Squadron titles for the N64 and GameCube, and Wii shares much of the same architecture. Is it too much to hope for Factor 5 to put two and two together?
No one’s sure whether this is going to be a new franchise or not, but Factor 5 could do worse things than revive Rogue Squadron or Turrican.
