Gamecock Makes Their Own Rules: All Gamers Can Attend the 2nd annual E.I.E.I.O

Don’t tell me how to run my expo, Griffin! I WILL set you on fire.

Exactly how much more independent can you get? Gamecock does what they want and expos are no different.

Let’s list the main ways the E.I.E.I.O (Expo for Interactive Entertainment, Independent and Original) is different than other expos:

1. Anyone can go. Crazy, I know. So anyone, including you, Mr. “I still play Heroes of Might and Magic on my PC” can get tickets, which will be offered prior to the show.

2. It’s being held at a famous BBQ joint. The music Mecca, Stubb’s Bar-B-Q in Austin, Texas, to be exact. This is a pretty cool place. BBQ is cool intrinsically, but they also have a stage where bands like Velvet Revolver and Angles & Airwaves play. And that’s just in the next two weeks.

3. And since they have a stage featuring bands that include gaming journalists! I’m thinking Chad and Dan and I will go for Ripten. Chad can wail on his ax, I’ll play the kazoo and Dan will provide the percussion. By punting his Xbox 360.

4. And let’s not forget that Gamecock’s games are way different. When everyone was going cutesy and quirky for the DS, Gamecock published the horror FPS Dementium: the Ward. Just to say “Screw You!” and probably make some money.

Hopefully E.I.E.I.O. will bring us some first looks of the anticipated Legendary: The Box. You can shoot Werewolves with a machine gun in that one. Why not read our preview.
