Mind you, I downloaded it with zero expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Starting out in a cave didn't bother me and I thought that unlike many other games, Turok took advantage of the unreal 3 engine and I find the textures / models look great. Not saying the game is perfect, but I'd buy it used a few months after release. No one mentioned the dinosaur models - they look fantastic. I liked the demo. Yes, the knife performs a one-hit kill in CoD4, but getting into a position to use it is actually pretty difficult. And I wasn't "bitching" about the game. In COD4 you too can perform a one-hit kill but reaching your opponent before you get blasted is alot more difficult. In Turok you can actually rush the opponent from a mile away and still cut him. I would of also prefer to use more buttons then just R2 for One-HIt kills maybe more like a wrestle where you have to press one button to dodge bites and another to stab. The guns available were decent, but they dont feel that powerful on sound. I hate to admit it but Im probably still going to buy it for the simple fact that it has dinosaurs and it will be online.
