First Pic of “ICO 3” Emerges: Are You Pulling Our Chain?

Lap it up, folks. A recent job posting over at Sony Japan has revealed that Team Ico is working on a PS3 title – and here’s the first image.
It’s a drain with a chain! Thank god this isn’t meant to be a teaser. Assuming it’s a follow-up to Shadow of the Colossus, this could be a random creepy cavern or part of one of the giant beasties. I’m sorely tempted to brand it a screenshot – not least for its resemblance to Uncharted - but the fact is it may well just be concept art; we just don’t know.
The job ad is looking for game planners, artist, animator and effect/particle designers: which would indicate that the game is more than just mist in the air.
I’m hoping this title is going to answer some of the questions between Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. I’m also hoping I won’t be waiting for years to find out what it’s all about, we don’t want another Alan Wake on our hands.
So tell me, how excited are you are about a chain?

I’ve heard small rumors that you’re a boy who rides on the back of a giant griffin-like creature. Sounds interesting. I wouldn’t get my hopes up. But, I know that whatever the game ends up being, Team ICO will deliver. Just for fun think of this. What if a colossi was your companion, hence the Griffin, and you had to take down other creatures with it’s assistance at times and protect a girl. That would be SOOOOO AWESOME!!! GDC can’t come soon enough. I hope they show us a teaser at least.
