Mocking of Mass Effect Avenged by Clever Use of Internet

Head Computer, dial up the internet. I have an idea.
If there is one lesson the internet has taught us, it is that you should under no circumstance mess with geeks. It’s a lesson Cooper Lawrence is learning the hard way.
After going on an ill-informed diatribe on Faux, excuse me, Fox News about sex in Mass Effect, Lawrence felt the vicious sting of the internet savvy as her book, “The Cult of Perfection,” was digitally sodomized by hordes of vengeful nerds on Amazon.com.
The rating on Amazon has dropped to a single star, and the most popular tags for the book include “ignorant,” “hack,” “bigot” and “hypocrite.” As well as many more tags ranging from humorous to serious and down-right vulgar. My personal favorite has to be “We cut down a tree for this,” or maybe “Alien side cleavage is the death of America.” And the list goes on for four pages. On top of that, there are 59 pages of user comments, and you will be hard pressed to find a positive one. If you’re looking for a chuckle at the expensive of someone you really can’t feel bad laughing at, give them a read.
This little trick is a highly creative way of dealing with ignorant game-bashers, and hopefully will send a message to other “experts” that throwing about misinformation and spouting ignorant hate about our favorite pastime will not be taken sitting down! Well, it probably will be taken sitting down, at a computer. But in the age of the internet, that’s a powerful prospect.
