Electronic Arts & Marvel Comics Part Ways
by John Kershaw on January 30, 2008 at 11:28 pm

After nearly four years together, Marvel Comics will no longer be producing games under the EA Games label.
In their time together, the pair only managed to produce a single title, Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects, which was disappointing to say the least. The second title in the multi-game deal has also now been canceled, confirming many of the rumours created when the studio producing the title, EA Chicago, announced its closure late last year.
All hope is not lost, however, as Marvel has said that this separation “will not affect Marvel’s ongoing plans to release fighting games based on the Marvel properties in the future”. Hopefully this is an indication of Marvel’s intention to develop games in-house, in much the same way Marvel Studios produce films for the company.
Regardless of all this, I still haven’t been able to figure out who would win in a fight between The Incredible Hulk and Wolverine.
