Despite the silly name, Panzers looks mighty impressive. This media that we received in a press release today shows of the weather effects and explains how they’ll affect gameplay.
Developer Stormregion wanted to create a realistic military RTS and one of the points of focus was on weather. You’ll see cosmetic subtleties such as reflective puddles, wet vehicles, and even vehicles covered in sheets of ice. More importantly, the changes in weather will affect the gameplay in various ways, such as limiting visibility, weapon range, and even movement speed.

A lot of developers try to recreate realistic weather effects, but with little success. It certainly looks as if Stormregion might be able to succeed where others have failed. Codename: Panzers – Cold War hits the PC in March of this year.
