Valve: “There Will Be More Portal”
by Kev Lochun on January 31, 2008 at 2:03 pm

No rumour, this one’s straight from the horse’s mouth. Valve has confirmed that there will be a sequel to Portal.
Valve’s marketing director Doug Lombardi assured gamers that a sequel will make an appearance, but true to form there’s no timescale on it whatsoever.
“There’ll be more Portal, for sure. But the details of that, to be honest, we’re still working out,” he says. “The only smart thing we did for Portal was to hire those seven kids and give them the support they needed to make the game.”
In fact the only detail we have is a promise that they’ll be adding significantly more than “just a bunch of new puzzles.” Don’t expect any more just yet though; over at Valve Gordon Freeman and Half-Life Episode 3 are currently getting all the love. Just r easy in the knowledge it’s out there, somewhere.
