robbers-take-a-wii-claim-it-wasnt-what-they-were-after-yeah-right

It’s a cat burglar, get it?

Two women were held at gunpoint in their home in Kansas City, MO, after robbers kicked their door in. The thieves were apparently looking for cash and drugs, but after realizing they had just broken into the wrong house, they ran off with a Wii instead.

The men claimed to be police officers while they were smashing in the door, but once inside, Ashley Robinson and her cousin could tell these men were just burglars.

I was trying to figure out why the police was kicking in my door. They were looking for drugs and money and said, ‘Aw, we got the wrong house.’

The men scrambled to make their break-in worthwhile, so they took the best thing they could find: a Nintendo Wii. They were probably after the Wii the whole time and only pretended to be looking for drugs and cash to seem more “street”. I know the Wii is still hard to find, but seriously…

The police are still looking for the Wii-nappers. Maybe if Nintendo would, you know, make more Wii’s, people wouldn’t be so compelled to steal them.

The robbers also stole a laptop, which completely verifies them as total nerds.

It’s not that the Wii isn’t being produced enough, it’s that the demand is too high for Nintendo to possibly produce enough systems to fill the demand. More systems have been released since the new year, especially since they stopped the production of the Nintendo DS Lite to focus on making more Wii’s.
