GTA IV to Have 100 Hours of Gameplay
by John Kershaw on February 28, 2008 at 9:51 pm

Best to phone home, people might start to get worried
The much hyped and highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto IV will take the player around 100 hours to complete, excluding the Xbox 360’s exclusive content, according to the games developer Rockstar.
With a vast array of main missions and a host of side quests, the time it takes to fully complete the game is claimed to be on par with your average RPG. Talking to videogamer.com, a Rockstar spokesperson said that “if you’re not in a rush and you answer the phone when it rings it’ll take about 100 hours to complete.”
100 hours sounds like enough GTA IV for my liking, but don’t forget about the promised 360 episodic content and the multiplayer. Best clear your diaries for a couple of months after April 29th. Actually, just scrap your diary, your summer is over.

probably 7 hours of story and 93 hours of stupid mini games.

Out of curiosity, LC, what game DO you like?
on February 29, 2008 9:27 am
That sounds about right, same as GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas maybe a little longer. Although that doesn’t include driving around causing general havoc time, which can easily rack up pretty quickly.
@LC It’s an open world, you don’t have to play the mini-games (Rampages, Taxi, Ambulance etc). Personally I love all the little stuff (mostly, some can be occasionally irritating) but that’s cos I grew up “playing” stupid mini-games, which most of the GTA ones are a parody of.
I’m sure I spent about 10 hours playing pool in the pub down the road in San Andreas :o)
Oh and maybe you should print another article just so you can mention the 360 exclusive content again. Are you guys getting paid for that too or what? Hmm, probably just fishing :o)

The lawyer from MS says I shouldn’t talk about the money which may or may not be being sent from them into my offshore bank account.

Dan is that a multiple choice question? I can’t find the selections anywhere…
my initial comment was a response to the absurdity of the 100 hours of game play claim. I thought it was a state the obvious contest… excuse me. Allow me a second entry, GTA 4: 95 hours of game play 5 hours of fun. put it on the box!
@needtocontrol, Really? I never played a gta before.

No, LC, it wasn’t multiple choice. Is the question that hard that you need multiple choice in order to answer it? What is happening in our schools today…
I’ve noticed that you just hate everything, so I was wondering, out of mere curiosity, if there is any game out there that you don’t completely hate. If you need multiple choice, I can provide that for you.

Sure blame me for the failures of the pathetic school system I was forced to endure, thats one lashing that keeps on giving.

100 hours pales in comparison to the bazillion it will supposedly take someone to own everything in Fable 2. Rockstar needs to add a little more content in my opinion, they’re falling behind the curve. 100 hours, what is this, an XBL arcade game? Psh!

yeah they say fully complete it. 100% probably meaning finding all 100 hidden pachages and mini games n thing s like that. the acctual story mode would probs be like 30 - 40 hours

What’s better between the old GTA’s and this one?
I won’t be able to play on it until after the exams. so i want to know if it is worth buying or not?
