I think the "anybody" refered to by Metal Gear Solid 4 Assistant Producer, Ryan Payton
is the quickly dimminishing number of old people who dont have a Wii yet.
Yep for me thumbtick controls suck- and no mouse support either. This is why i dont buy games for my Ps3 (blu-ray player only) and will only ever get PC games.
Thw Wii is leading the way while luddites like ryan dont even allow you to use a mouse in their games.

It took about half a lap of Motorstorm to realise that the motion control sucked. Heavenly Sword though, used it well, after a little practice. Glad they brought the rumble back though, it's essential when going over a rumble strip/ripple strip/kerb in Race Driver etc. If they actually have any racing instead of their stupid drift... Yep, drifting off-topic there.

Small doses, where appropriate.

I heard LC spent most of his time on the playground, chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool. And all shootin some b-ball outside of the school. When a couple of guys who were up to no good, started making trouble in his....

never mind.

Ducking when you're getting shot at may not help your guy avoid the bullets, but it does make the game more fun :D

leaning to the right and bouncing your controller never helped you help mario. it's a bad sign when game design takes 25 or 35 steps backwards to appeal to a retarded populace. but hey, after the one billionth mario game you have to find away to to resell an aged ip to a new crowd. and if your sony boy you do what you usually do, a last minute ripoff of a crappy idea to cover your bases. Mongoloids rejoice at all the jack off simulators too follow like no more heroes.

I love the smell of stick in the mourning!

I still do it. To me it's a sign that I'm immersed in the game world. I don't see how that has anything to do with coordination. Maybe you'd move around a little more if that stick wasn't in your ass, LC. Besides, ever little thing helps. I know when I play Condemned I have to let a bum out of my basement to beat up so that I get that extra edge. Nothing gets you more worked up and prepared do block a brick to the face than hitting some homeless guy over the head with a piece of wood with nails in it.

When used correctly, like rumble, it can have a very powerful and constructive effect. When used stupidly it's just terrible. Subtle uses, like those found in Folklore, or Uncharted actually do add something special.

you an me both, the idea that erratic motion controls would replace direct and precise input devices as a standard for gaming is absolutely ridiculous.
