In the process of searching for an image for our previous report covering the announcement of Sagat and Balrog in SFIV, I stumbled upon the portfolio of one Chris Turcotte. Inside were several images depicting various stages of a detailed Sagat 3D model.

While the senior artist’s resume states that he is currently employed by EA, it is also possible that his resume is outdated and/or he was hired to do some modeling on a contract basis. Of course there is also the possibility that this was just a pet project by the designer and that this model has nothing to do with the upcoming SFIV game.

The model is below, and though we can not confirm it to be from SFIV at this point in time, it is very cool and Chris is a very talented 3D artist who has worked on Fight Night, Fifa Street, and NBA Live. Enjoy.
