Wii TV: Yet Another Wii Channel for Japan
by Kat Bailey on March 4, 2008

While Americans await the chance to download DS demos and Nintendo commercials into their very own home via Everybody’s Nintendo, the Japanese have moved on to bigger and better things—Wii TV.
According to IGN and Famitsu, the Television Friend channel is now available for download, allowing anybody to peruse Japanese television listings via their Wii, with users being able to “stamp” interesting looking (variety/game/Korean soap opera) shows with a Mii and notify their friends about them.
For those desperate for yet another novel use of the Wii-mote, you can even use it to flip channels and adjust the volume.
Excited, America? You bet you are! (Assuming you don’t already have a DVR).
