Assassin’s Creed PC Exclusive Content Detailed

While it was revealed a while ago that Assassin’s Creed for PC would contain four new types of investigation, Charles Beauchemin, the game’s Technical Lead, has given the lowdown on what those investigations will be.
Archer Assassination will require Altair to take out archers without being spotted; Escort Challenge requires you to escort a fellow assassin from one area to another – I assume you’ll be protecting him as well; Merchant Stand Destruction has you destroying the stands of merchants that are in league with your current target; Rooftop Race Challenge will have you racing across cities to reach your destination in the allotted time.
Along with these additions, Ubisoft has also made it so you can skip the entire kingdom area when traveling to a city that you’ve already been to. Finally, the AI has been tweaked. If you try to blend into the crowd next to the body of one your victims, you’ll find that it does you no good. Also, guards react differently to stealth assassinations depending on how many NPCs are in the surrounding area.
This is all good news, as I thought Assassin’s Creed for console missed the mark in a few key areas. It’s good to see them address the issues of poor AI and repetitiveness.
