2K Marin Working on Bioshock 2
by Roly Reyes on March 11, 2008

He’s back!
It’s official. 2K Marin, the newly opened 2K studio stationed in California and created by luminaries from 2K Boston (the staff behind original BioShock) will be developing a sequel to BioShock, and it is reportedly going to see the light of day by late 2009.
I hate waiting, but as long as Ken Levine and/or other visionaries for BioShock will be in positions of power, I don’t have problems believing that the wait will be worth it.
And contrary to previously spread rumors, the word ‘sequel’ was tossed around quite a bit as opposed to the prequel that many seemed to believe that we’ll be getting. However, I think seeing how Rapture became what it was in BioShock 1 will be exponentially better than whatever cockamamie story they can come up with.
Clearly, I’m being a little facetious, but that’s just because throughout Bioshock I came to care about Rapture and its ugly-ass inhabitants.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about and have a PC that can pack somewhat of a punch, try playing BioShock. I’m sure you won’t regret it. I mean it’s only $30 now. Even if all you have is a 360, it’s absolutely worth the $60 price of entry, although you can probably find it cheaper on the 360 by now as well.

If you haven’t played that game, you are not my friend. I’ll probably still be nice, but I wont mean it.
