Mass Effect DLC Now On Marketplace

Bioware has just unleashed “Bring Down the Sky”, the first of supposedly many downloadable expansions to the Mass Effect universe. It is currently available in English — sorry, “Galactic Standard” — from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The DLC introduces, or rather “shows for the first time”, the Batarians. Bioware describes the race as “a disreputable species that chose to isolate itself from the rest of the galaxy”, and even though the Batarians played a prominent role in the Mass Effect novel, they have up till now been absent from the game.
The “Bring Down the Sky” content is described as follows:
Batarian extremists have hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Only you can save the human hostages on the asteroid and reroute it before it crashes into the world, killing millions of innocent civilians.
This DLC adds supposedly 90 minutes of playtime to the game and costs about $5 (400 Microsoft Points). If any of us here at Ripten decide to download it, we’ll let you know how it is.
