Microsoft at Play.com Live: Aims for Wii60

The only thing I was vaguely excited about seeing from Microsoft was Ninja Gaiden 2. Guess what wasn’t anywhere at to be seen?
Nevermind. The rest of the line-up was worth watching, with such big up-and-comers as REZ HD, Boom Boom Rocket, Spy Glass, Uno and (wait for it) Viva Pinata. A game which you may recall was released in 2006.
Yes, I’m being sarcastic, but you would be too if you were shafted with footage of games that you are not only already familiar with, but are also a bit pants. I mean really, Uno?
It seems that since Play.com Live is a consumer showcase first and foremost, Microsoft is really making a push towards capturing the family market by presenting such simple and universally palatable titles. This might actually be a pretty smart move after the recent price cuts and with Easter just around the next bend.
On the flip side, a great deal of the third party titles were running (and playable) on 360, including Rock Band, Codemasters’ Race Driver: Grid, Bourne Conspiracy, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 and Soul Calibur IV, so the rest of us have plenty to look forward to.
