PS3 Users Experience Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Online Issues

by Dylan Duarte on March 24, 2008 at 3:22 am

It seems that while the Ubisoft team was out hunting for Easter eggs, their servers went out with them.

Multiple PS3 users are complaining about serious connection and lag issues while playing Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 online over the weekend.

I think it’s safe to say that the Ubisoft team is probably aware of the issue and it’s more than likely being resolved as I type this.

As of now, no other games are reportedly having issues.

    Why am I not surprised…

It seems the further gaming technology advances, the less reliable and more problematic it becomes.

Can’t blame technology though… There are lots of games with online features connecting thousands of gamers at the same time… Of course, you will find problems if you don’t monitor and maintain them correctly… :)

Yeah, what’s the problem lately? I got Army of Two when it was released and it was incredibly laggy with FOUR people. I mean, WTF?! I’m not sure if that issue was resolved, but if they can’t meet release dates why don’t they set the dates a month or two back to compensate? Then maybe we’d occasionally be pleasantly surprised by an early release, rather than always being utterly devastated by delay after delay (ok devastated is harsh [except for GTA] but you get the point).
