Uwe Boll Claims He’s Not a F*cking Retard

Uwe Boll, maker of such quality films as “Blood Rayne” and “House of the Dead” has released a short video rant in response to a recent online petition asking him to stop making movies. Hit the jump for the clip. Caution: strong language and strong German accents ahead.

In the video Boll espouses his “genius,” while simultaneously slamming the rest of Hollywood, saying, “I’m the only genius in the whole f*cking business,” among other things.[youtube width="480" height="378"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWqCNmfJ1hY[/youtube]

Now, I won’t disagree that Michael Bay is a retard, but there is a fine line between genius and insanity, and I think that Herr Boll may have finally gone postal. Sorry, couldn’t resist.

“If you look in my movies you will see my real genius,” Boll said.

Calling yourself a genius is about as good as calling yourself the President. Just because you say it, doesn’t make it true.

Now, I have no idea how he continues to make movies (probably sold his soul to some demon in the depths of celluloid hell) but if this petition works (it only need one million signatures) the world will be a better place.

And if it does work, we can move onto Michael Bay next.

    lol I’d sign a pro boll petition.

    look bad movies came before boll, bad video game movies came before boll and the brain melting experience I endured during the dungeon siege movie was quite similar to the brain melting experience of playing dungeon siege legends of arrana.

    dungeon siege, bloodrayne, alone in the dark, postal these games all have one thing in common there some of the worse sub/average tripe to be ever made into movies or video games.

    gamers need to clue into the fact that game stories suck and making movies out of crappy game stories is just going to get you all the cut scenes without the crappy gameplay which leaves you with a crappy crappy story/movie.

    I see the people for instance who sign the anti-boll petition make claims like “even I could make a better movie” well then, put your money where your mouth is and make a better movie or shut the hell up already.

    As far as I’m concerned Boll should keep making movies, he should make porno too, violent porno/snuff/video game movie movies… I’m calling you out boll, I want a Manhunt movie!

    Not all game stories suck…

    I’m just glad he hasn’t touched any really good games yet (or ever, hopefully). I would snap if he even touched a game like Zelda or MGS (there was apparently a rumor about that one).

    And calling himself a genius isn’t exactly winning him any points. He recycles material from a different media and he fails every time. My question is why the hell does he make video game movies constantly? You say games are difficult to make into movies SO WHY THE HELL DOES HE DO IT?! He’s got a doctorate in Literature for fudges sake, you’d think he could pick something else.

    I wouldn’t even care if he made some original content (I would just ignore it), but he keeps ruining other peoples work (however sub-average you think it is).
