Wii Storage Solution May Be On The Way

With the launch of WiiWare fast approaching, those of us with Wiis filled to the brim with Virtual Console games will soon run into the inevitable problem of figuring out where to put everything. However, during a recent investors meeting, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata hinted that a solution may already be in the works.
“Statistically speaking, it is true that there are a small number of customers who feel that the flash memory is too small, while many others find that they have plenty of memory,” Iwata explained. “However, because this small number of people are none other than the most avid players, we know we have to review the best possible solution to eliminate their inconvenience.”
While far from a confirmation, this statement shows that Nintendo is at least thinking about doing something about the problem. Given the emphasis that the company has been putting on the WiiWare lineup recently, one would hope that the fix would be coming soon. But this is Nintendo we’re talking about, so hopes should stay at an appropriate height.
