The Red Team Are More Likely to Win

According to a new study published in the Cyberpsychology & Behavior journal, you are more likely to win in a game of Unreal Tournament 2004 if you are on the red team.
The scientists behind the study used data from more than 1,347 (if only that had used 10 fewer) matches gathered from public server data and found that 55% of the time, the red team won.
One neuroscientist from the University of Copenhagen, Mihai Moldovan, suggested one reason may be that the opposing team sees the team’s red uniforms and gets distracted. The colour red can act as a psychological distractor in men, possibly because when guys get angry, they go red faced.
Mark Rein, VP of Epic Games who make UT, said:
While this is really an interesting analysis, the notion of red team versus blue team has been ingrained in the Unreal Tournament series for years. We don’t anticipate any immediate changes to team colors
As much as I am inclined to believe this report, it still doesn’t explain why I keep loosing at Call of Duty 4, everybody is brown.

This story reminds me of a recent farcry map I played with a gorge in the middle and if you happen to be playing blue team, imagine your surprise when gliding over that said gorge and on the side of the mountain reads Blue Team Sucks! lol
