Final Fantasy Versus XIII Delay Untrue – Official Statement Issued By Square Enix
by Chad Lakkis on June 20, 2008 at 8:54 pm

We reported just two days ago that a Famitsu article was translated revealing among other things a statement made by FF Versus XIII director Tetsuya Nomura in which he claims that resources were reallocated from Final Fantasy Versus and asked to instead assist in the completion of Final Fantasy XIII.
This translation along with further comments made in the article lead many to believe the game would be delayed even further. However, the following response was issued by Square Enix regarding the matter:
“Reports that development for Final Fantasy Versus XIII is on hold are false … The truth of the situation is that when free, some staff from the Versus team have been helping with the XIII team on development of Final Fantasy XIII. Development for both titles is continuing as originally scheduled.”
It appears now that the game is still very much on schedule — the same schedule that has had us in the dark for a very long time now. Hopefully some light will be shed during this years E3.

The ff13 versus staff helps with the ff13 staff develop ff13 on their spare time? First of all how much free time do they have away from ff13 versus and if they have so much free time why not complete their project first before worrying about a different teams project.
