Shin Megami Tensei Panel at Anime Expo 2008

Looks like game publisher Atlus is headed to Los Angeles and is taking their Shin Megami Tensei franchise with them. According to our promptly received e-vites, the 2008 Anime Expo will have a panel dedicated exclusively to Atlus’ long running series. The panel is called “Shin Megami Tensei: Behind the Scenes”.
They don’t specifically say which of the SMT sub-series games will be showing up, but I would imagine it’s all-encompassing, including Devil Summoner, Digital Devil Saga, Nocturne and the Persona series, but that has not been confirmed. We’ll try to contact Atlus for more concrete information, so keep your eyes peeled for an update.
The panel takes place on July 5, 2008 at the Los Angeles convention center at 6:30pm. It’s going to be riddled with anime-nauts, although, if you’re into SMT, there’s a chance you may have an interest in anime as well.
As an aside, I hear great things about Shin Megami Tensei, although haven’t really gotten around to experiencing any of them first-hand until just recently. I’m currently 40 some odd hours deep into Persona 3 FES, which recently got a generally favorable review by us. If you’re at all into JRPGs, it’s worth a shot, as it seems to be a nice breath of fresh air from your standard Final Fantasy.
