Why You Won’t See Duke Nukem Forever at E3
by Dylan Duarte on June 28, 2008 at 10:29 pm

Even though “development is swimming along nicely,” 3D Realms has no intentions of showing Duke Nukem Forever at E3. Hit the jump to find out why.
“It’s just that we view E3 as irrelevant nowadays. In fact, I wasn’t even aware it was coming up.”
That’s a quote from 3D Realms chief Scott Miller. E3 may not be as “relevant” as it used to be, but it’s still relevant enough that I wouldn’t call it “irrelevant.”
And he wasn’t aware that it was coming up? How is it even possible to work in the industry and let something as big as E3 slip your mind? Again, not as big as it used to be, but still plenty big.

That’s funny Dylan, E3 called and said they thought 3D Realms went out of business 10 years ago.
Also, in case you haven’t heard — Diablo 3 is coming out.

It’s funny, nukem could be the most innovative game in the world and it will still get criticized
and given a mediocre score because it will NEVER live up to it’s development time. besides. 3Drealms are a bunch of arrogant pricks. I once e-mailed them about rise of the triad asking why dog mode was a little man in a brown suit rather than a dog. they got all upset and told me to go sodomize myself with an iron pole. so in reply I just pirated the hell out of the game . nya,nya! Blah……….

@mad,
How innovative do you actually think the game will end up being?

Not at all, actually. even if they think they are creating some paradigm shift in the FPS world. It won’t be.

I will probably still buy the game if and when it comes out.

Duke Nukem is an old idea that I think will fail.
