Rumor: Nintendo to Announce Kid Icarus and Animal Crossing Wii at E3
by Rangebar Merani on July 1, 2008 at 3:01 pm

According to E3.net, new Animal Crossing and Kid Icarus games are set to be announced for the Wii at E3. The website lists them with the tentative titles of Animal Crossing Wii and Kid Icarus Wii.
Development of Animal Crossing is said to be handled by Nintendo EAD, and IGN has hinted that they believe Kid Icarus is being developed by Factor 5. While IGN (to the best of our knowledge) has not expressed this sediment in writing, our own Beau Rosser claims to have heard IGN express this belief during their podcast on more than one occasion.
Although e3.net is not an official E3 2008 website, we can still hope for an announcement of the games by Nintendo and look forward to some great gameplay details for both titles.
With 17 years gone by, and an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one can speculate that it’s only be a matter of time before we see a new Kid Icarus title. I was a big fan of the original NES game myself, and actually have it downloaded on my Wii, so I’m looking forward to seeing a remake.
