PS3 Firmware v2.41 Possibly Out Mid-Week [UPDATE]
by Patrick Steen on July 7, 2008 at 8:09 am

After only one short day PS3’s 2.40 Firmware was pulled due to reported problems. A new and improved update could be available for download as soon as this Wednesday.
Sony’s Customer Service are apparently letting PS3 owners know that a reformed error-free update will be up midweek.
There’s been no official word from Sony, apart from a SCEE representative’s coy response; “I can’t confirm anything at the moment,” so we’ll keep our ears to the ground and our fingers on the trigger to let you know of any changes.
*Update* - More signs to support a midweek update; the PSN will be down for maintenance from 7am to 1pm BST on Wednesday.
