Capcom’s Flock Revealed

“The simple life just got weird” were the words chosen to introduce the aptly named, super-secret project Flock. Astonishingly and intelligently, it’s been revealed Pre-E3 and Capcom gave the go-ahead for IGN to publish the preview, as well as an introductory video.
Developed by startup UK-based studio Proper, the concept behind Flock is that the player is housed in a classic style UFO and is tasked to, from what I can tell, drive herds and flocks of animals to either their demise or your home base. It’s depicted very clearly throughout the debut video. So far, the animals that are going to be killed/captured include sheep, cows, chickens, and pigs.
What is clear about halfway into the video is the inclusion of a co-op mode. So you can at least share your sadistic killing of innocent farm-dwelling animals with a friend as sick and twisted as you!
In addition, you can catch glimpses of what seem to be a user editor/construction mode, I wonder how Microsoft feels about this, considering that they’ve turned down and canned countless games and features of games respectively.
In development for PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 as a downloadable title, it boasts over 50 stages as well as the possibility of including more animals and maps to abuse them in through DLC.
Between Bionic Commando Rearmed, Flock, Megaman 9, and Street Fighter II HD Turbo Remix, Capcom should be commended for utilizing downloadable services best and other publishing houses should take note.
