PlayStation 3 Greatest Hits Announced

by Shaun Hinklein on July 15, 2008 at 2:36 pm

Recently announced by Sony at their conference, the PlayStation 3 is getting a Greatest Hits selection, released at a very affordable $29.99 each. First party and third party games are hopping on, literally, since a wondrous LittleBigPlanet presentation had these titles spring up during a mine-cart adventure.

The games are Motorstorm, Warhawk, Call Of Duty 3, Fight Night Round 3, Resistance: Fall of Man, Need for Speed Carbon, Rainbow Six Vegas, Assassin’s Creed, Oblivion, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

This is awesome news coming from Sony, since their price tags are known for being slightly higher than the competition. Another high point is that the titles chosen, well, aren’t bad! It’s assuring from Sony to give A-list games a price drop instead of just shelving out unpopular titles to get rid of them.  Hence the name Greatest Hits…

excellent, I was wondering when they were going to start doing a greatest hits line, I am a cheap bastard and usually just wait for game price drops.
