I meant business achievements on MS’s part, not the bragging rights achievements. I should have made that clear, sorry! I own a PS3, but i am far from happy with what i get from it and what i will be able to get in the future. I would have picked Sony over MS any day, but as a euro gamer, i just feel permanatly shafted by Sony. I am in fact quite shocked to find myself defending MS. OMG i have found reason and objectivity when making a post!! Damn my advancing years towards maturity.

@Discombobulator Short term loss long term gain. Screw xbox for all the crap they put their fans thru and developers will be forced to do what Enix did to FF then on a level playing field who’s better a box that breaks or a box that works for almost the same price with no features.

So yes you have and all gamers have a choice and yes you have to sacrifice some gaming for it in the short term but the long term benefits could be even better.

acheivements are just a feature built into every game they really mean nothing as they hold no value… don’t get me wrong when trophies get into full swing I’m am going to have fun getting them but that can’t be the only reason to spend $1500 on 3 systems to play with :)

I’m not trying to be an ass I just like being devil’s advocate and having constructive debates.

That would really depend on your tastes. I feel that the 360 has had only 3 games worth having, for me, in the last 3 years. Bioshock, GeOW and Mass Effect. That’s it. I don’t know where this idea of 360 has more games comes from. Who cares if 99% of those games are not good.

I tried Lost Odyssey, its horrible. I personally have 11 games for my PS3 and 1 for my XBox.

Did you read my post? I am no MS lover but i can’t take their acheivements away from them. Also as a PS3 owner i can say that i feel MS has all the games, so maybe gamers don’t have the choice you think they have.

Disccombobulator oh gees that’s better :) … I don’t care if you only have 1 and it’s not working. I still have a working original nintendo, ps1 and ps2. My point is X-box created a POS machine that for some reason many people are still loyal too even though they have had nothing but problems with it and I know WAY too many people who have paid for 2nd ones. People should be teaching MS a lesson and avoiding crap products forcing the developers to put games on the other system. Anyways that’s just me I happen to like quality over filling our dumps with more crap.

Thanks Dan, i must have missed that. And by buying another xbox i don’t mean that i have hundreds of them. I have two, they just don’t work. Neither of which RROD, they just massacre any disc that i try to use.

Bioware was barely able to get Mass Effect to run on the Xbox 360. There’s no way they would be able to get it to work on two platforms without adding another year or so to the development time. EA needs money now.

When you have to say spend some cash on ANOTHER xbox I think you might want to reconsider your need to play that game :)

This is if nothing else the one thing that get’s me not to go down the fanboyish road. Why is it that a manufacturer of CRAP can get away with this in the consol war. Anyways tally ho.

Developing exclusively on one platform means you can concentrate and work on it’s exclusive features. Developing on multiple platforms means compromises for both…or two different products.

I don’t think he was taking a jab at anything. But then again, Mass Effect isn’t really known for quality. It had a lot of problems with framerates, long loading times and all of that good stuff.
It was just trash talk.
