EA CEO Interview Hints at Dead Space for Wii
by Shaun Hinklein on July 23, 2008 at 10:05 pm

After an extensive interview with John Riccitiello, CEO of Electronic Arts, and Venture Beat, the stock market tycoon gave multiple hints at EA’s approach for the Nintendo Wii.
While most of his comments regarding the company were aimed at maintaining neutrality, he ended with stating Nintendo’s weak 1st-party line up giving way for 3rd-party domination. Having admitted to leaning towards Microsoft and Sony last year, will EA commit to Nintendo giving Wii users Dead Space? They’ll be a market when Dead Rising hits the market as well as the arsenal of already confirmed EA titles.
EA has hit headlines within the industry in the past year by pressing hard as the bully between companies. In the fiscal world, they’re just known for trying to buy out Take-Two Interactive while its CEO went on a shopping spree acquiring Bioware. Amidst this hyperactivity in the market, EA has proven their dedication in the quality of their titles—straying from the bullshit feeding frenzy that was this years E3 from many 3rd-party developers.
On this straight and narrow approach, why would we be getting a good feeling that Dead Space is coming to the Wii–If what the CEO of one of the largest videogame companies in the world says is true, then maintaining the company’s neutrality is priority one. This means expect some Nintendo releases that rock the console making you forget all about that 1:1 garbage.

wow, I cannot WAIT to see what Dead Space will look like on the Wii. will it be changed to a side scrolling platformer? or possibly all the character models will be replaced by Mii’s? or perhaps following the Wii concept that gameplay is more important than those filthy high quality CG and yucky Hi-Def everything will be replaced by line drawn levels and stick figure characters. whatever the case may be, the Wii fans will laud it as a better game than it’s PS3 and 360 counterparts…….blah….
